hot links is a work-in-progress page
But here are a couple to get you started:
Jim Harrison
Jim wrote the wonderful foreword to Texas BBQ. You’re probably familiar with his prodigious body of work (Legends of the Fall and True North, among others), and if you haven’t already, you need to get your hands on his new novel, The English Major.
John Morthland
If there is such a thing as a Texas barbecue expert, John is it. He contributed a terrific essay to Texas BBQ about folks who dedicate their lives to the art of great ’cue. He doesn’t have a website (yet), but you can check out some of his back catalog here.
University of Texas Press
Our publisher has a few other books for sale besides Texas BBQ, but you can start there.
Texas Monthly
Wyatt has been shooting for “the National Magazine of Texas” for more than 30 years. The May 2009 issue featured a portfolio of images from Texas BBQ plus a slide show narrated by Wyatt.
Paula Biehler & Associates
Our favorite publicist. Take a look at that client list!
The Hoyle Brothers
Trevor McSpadden, Wyatt’s older son, and his bandmates are coming to Austin to help celebrate the release of Texas BBQ. Check their list of local gigs for early April.
